HONOR YOUR CUSTOMERS

Every aspect of marketing must focus on the customer. They are the judge and jury of your marketing and your business. The ultimate objective of marketing is to produce products and services that not only satisfy customers’ needs but delight them so that they will return and buy again.

Business continuity is ensured by honoring the curomer and aims at building a lifelong relationship. In True North Asia, my company aims to consider what really matters to customers and how to ensure that the whole company is founded on a customer orientation. In today’s promiscuous market, the challenges we face are building customer affinity, loyalty and partnership.

I happen to come across the following quotes by Anon, which I personally love much. The sentence that matters to me most is “Because of customers, we exit.”

Because the customer has a need, we have a job to do.

Because the customer has a choice, we must be a better choice.

Because the customer has sensibilities, we must be considerate.

Because the customer has an urgency, we must be quick.

Because the customer is unique, we must be flexible.

Because the customer has high expectations, we must excel.

Because the customer has influence, we must have hope of more customers.

Because of the customer, we exit.

THE ENTREPRENEUR EXPOSE INTERVIEW

The love for challenge and the unknown brought me to Malaysia to start True North Asia. The desire that I always have to be an entrepreneur brought me out of my comfort zone to run a business. After doing so many different roles, if you don’t stretch yourself, there’s no excitement left.

Entrepreneurship makes me excited every single day. I have the ownership of my business, my time and my life. I was really honored to be invited to be featured in The Entrepreneur Media EXpose, an extremely well received channel for all entrepreneurs.

This short interview brought me back to memories of how I run my life in the past…. a dumb blonde which people perceived. However, whatever others say will not detour me from what I want myself to be.

Thank You The Entrepreneur Media EXpose for the great interview!

HOW TO LOVE AND CARE?

Human touch is fading away in today’s society. How many times have we realised the pain till we lose our love ones. Building a career, a business is important but you will never be able to conquer your pain without the love from your love ones. You may be in business for yourself, but you will never be in business by yourself. It is never about you. No one owes you anything! The more you adhere to an approach of giving, serving, helping and assisting others, the more people will want to assist you in return.

The poem below is for those who forgot about the ones you love, the ones who love you.

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or Listened to the rain slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask: How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores running through your head?

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die.

Cause you never had time to call and say, ‘Hi’?

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift thrown away.

Life is not a race
Do take it slower.

Hear the music
Before the music is over.

MALAYSIA YOUNG FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS

Malaysia Young Female Entrepreneurs (MYFREN) Forum 2010 is designed to be a platform to gather thoughts and ideas of entrepreneurs to encourage more Malaysians especially the young females to venture into entrepreneurship and businesses.
I am real excited when I received the invitation to be one of the panelist in Malaysia Young Female Entrepreneurs together with many other successful female entrepreneurs. I recalled late last year, been a real entrepreneur, a business owner is still a dream. A friend of mine shared with me that I have to be patient and continue to work hard. I just shared this joy with him that finally the wait has paid off. Many look at my first success and think that I had it easy. This is not the case.
Throughout these days, I have cut out those people who feed me with negative thoughts and habits. Fighting to move on made me realise that I am starting to see greatness unfolding in my life again!
Not everybody will understand your vision, dream and potential. If they don’t get it, just move on. Don’t get left behind because others are simply behind the curve!
